Levels 1 to 20 cost 98,840 resources and take 113:46:40 at x1, adding 20 population and 38 culture points a day.
The Huns' wall: the smallest bonus of any tribe's, and the only one that costs half what everybody else pays for theirs.
- All twenty levels come to 98,840 resources. Every other tribe's wall costs within a few hundred of 197,700 - so this is exactly half price, against all six of them.
- The bonus it gives is 1.5% a level, which is the same as the Viking Barricade. A Hun pays half as much for the same percentage; what the Barricade has and this does not is durability.
- That durability is the real gap. It is the easiest wall in the game for rams to bring down, so it protects well right up until somebody serious arrives with rams.
- Hun strength is mobility and offence. A Hun village defends by not being worth the trip, or by reinforcements landing in time - not by standing behind stone.
- Build it anyway. A wall multiplies the whole defence of the village, and at this price the first ten levels are the cheapest defence a Hun can buy.
Strategy. Being cheap changes what it is for. On the other tribes a wall is an investment you take to 20 in villages you intend to hold; here it is small change, worth putting into every village early and worth finishing in none of them, because the levels that cost real money buy durability this wall was never going to have.
Play to the tribe. A Hun village survives by the Command Center and the speed of its horse, not by its wall.

A step pays that much of each of the four resources, plus the hero experience, and the hero's own level adds 2% a level above the first on top of both. A reward can be left unclaimed and taken whenever it suits: claiming it pays no health, but the experience it carries can push the hero up a level, and it is the level-up that restores full health.
