Privacy policy

There are no accounts and no sign-up. Nothing you type into a calculator is sent to a server: the calculations run in your browser. There is no analytics and no tracking. Advertising is shown, and only with your consent.

The site uses your browser’s local storage, which stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. It holds:

• your theme preference, so the site does not flash the wrong colours on load;
• your most recent calculator inputs, so a refresh does not lose your work;
• which game ruleset you selected;
• a cache of the icons the site draws, so they do not have to be fetched again.

You can clear all of it at any time through your browser’s “clear site data” setting. Nothing is lost but your preferences.

When you share a calculator link, your inputs are encoded in the URL itself. That is the only way your figures leave your device, and it happens only because you copied the link and sent it somewhere. The values are troop counts and building levels, not personal information.

The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard request logs including IP address, browser user agent and the page requested. These are generated by the hosting infrastructure for security and reliability, are retained for a limited period by Vercel, and are not used to build any profile of you. There is no analytics on this site. No script counts, profiles or follows you.

This site carries advertising from Google AdSense, which funds it. Google and its partners use cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads.

Nothing loads until you agree. You are asked first, through Google’s consent dialogue, and no advertising script runs until you have answered it. If you decline, no ad cookie is set. You can change your answer at any time, and you can control personalisation separately at Google’s ad settings.

There are no user accounts today. Accounts and saved plans are planned. When they arrive, this policy will be updated first to describe what is stored, where, and for how long.

Because no personal data is collected, there is normally nothing to access, correct or erase. If you believe Siegewise holds data about you, or you want the hosting logs relating to your visits removed, write to hello@siegewise.com and it will be dealt with. Under the UK GDPR you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Siegewise is a set of calculators for a strategy game and is not directed at children under 13. No data that could identify anyone, of any age, is collected.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes, such as introducing advertising or accounts, will be described here before they take effect rather than after.
