Bakery
Raises crop production further, on top of the Grain Mill. Worth building wherever a large army is fed.
Build times at x1 with a level 1 Main Building, which takes 100% of the base time. Click a row to start a range and another to end it.

Boosts crop production again, on top of the Grain Mill, as a percentage of what the Croplands make.
- Needs a Grain Mill level 5 and a Cropland level 10, so it is the second of the two crop boosters rather than an alternative to it.
- Like the Grain Mill it keeps its slot in a cropper, where crop is the whole point of the village.
- The two together are what turn a 15-cropper from a village with a lot of fields into one that can feed a hammer.
- Raises free crop as well as output, which is what lets the village keep growing and hold more troops.
Strategy. Grain Mill and Bakery are the two boosters generally kept in a capital when the Sawmill, Brickyard and Iron Foundry are dropped for building slots. Crop is the resource a capital cannot buy its way out of needing.
First village
| Level | Each | XP |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 150 | 10 |
| 5 | 300 | 20 |
Villages settled later
No Bakery task once the village is settled: the list is shorter, and this is not on it.
A step pays that much of each of the four resources, plus the hero experience, and the hero's own level adds 2% a level above the first on top of both. A reward can be left unclaimed and taken whenever it suits: claiming it pays no health, but the experience it carries can push the hero up a level, and it is the level-up that restores full health.
