Equites Legati

A scouting cavalry unit of the Romans. Every figure below is produced by the same engine behind the calculators, so a stat here and a result there cannot disagree.

What stands out

  • With a Horse Drinking Trough at level 10 in its village it eats 1 crop an hour instead of 2 - the only mounted unit that gets down to 1 crop without an artefact.
  • At 360 resources it is the second-cheapest scout to train, level with the Teuton Scout.
  • At 16 fields per hour it is the third-fastest scout in the game, level with the Egyptian Sopdu Explorer.
  • It shows 0 attack, but Smithy upgrades still give it some: 12.8 at level 20, because part of every upgrade depends on upkeep rather than the base stat.

Smithy upgrades

Each smithy level raises a stat by a fraction of its base plus a term scaled by crop consumption. The crop term is why a unit’s gain is not simply a percentage of its base stat: relative to their stats, high-upkeep units gain the most.

Training time by server speed

At building level 1 with no artefact, helmet or alliance bonus. Higher building levels cut the time by 10% per level, compounding.
