What stands out

  • With a Horse Drinking Trough at level 20 in its village it eats 3 crop an hour instead of 4.
  • Its 180 attack is the second-highest of any troop in the game, level with the Hun Marauder.
  • Its 105 defence against cavalry is the third-highest of any troop in the game.
  • At Smithy level 20 its attack rises from 180 to 232.6, a 29% gain.

Smithy upgrades

Each smithy level raises a stat by a fraction of its base plus a term scaled by crop consumption. The crop term is why a unit’s gain is not simply a percentage of its base stat: relative to their stats, high-upkeep units gain the most.
