What stands out

  • It is the second-most crop-efficient defender to feed, with 65.0 of its best defence for each crop it eats an hour.
  • It is the cheapest Roman defence against infantry, at 14.1 per 100 resources.
  • At Smithy level 20 its attack rises from 30 to 40.9, a 36% gain.

Smithy upgrades

Each smithy level raises a stat by a fraction of its base plus a term scaled by crop consumption. The crop term is why a unit’s gain is not simply a percentage of its base stat: relative to their stats, high-upkeep units gain the most.
